Mabel-Canton boys edge out Athletics

LYLE — The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team had a late chance to get a win, but it lost 62-59 to Mabel-Canton (8-16 overall, 7-11 SEC) in Friday.

The Athletcis trailed by as many as 12 points in the second half, but they were able to get within 61-59 when Trinity Anderson hit a free throw with 11 seconds left. Anderson missed the second free throw on purpose and LP (8-14 overall, 5-10 SEC) was able to get the rebound, but it wasn’t bale to tie or take the lead.

Kamis Kuku had 13 points, six rebounds and four steals for the Athletics.
