Dustin M. Sistrunk-Miller, 19, of Mankato, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, Feb.10, 2017.

Dustin Michael was born on Feb. 17, 1997, to John L. Miller and Michelle L. Sistrunk in Austin, Minnesota. He graduated from Mankato West High School in 2016. He was employed at Zanx and most recently Dairy Queen in Mankato as a cook. Dustin’s passion was music and the RMA label of Mankato, and he enjoyed making videos. He enjoyed working out at the YMCA and tattoos. Dustin loved making people laugh and smile.

He is survived by his mother, Michelle (Jason Smith) Sistrunk of Mankato; father, John (Mary) Miller of Austin; brothers, Levi Niebuhr of Mankato and Matthew Miller of Austin; sisters, Rachel Smith and Nicole Smith, both of Mankato; grandparents, Henry (Margene) Sistrunk of Mankato and Elizabeth (Charles) Denman of Mankato; uncles, Michael (Angela) Sistrunk of Mankato, Donald Miller of Austin, Gary (Terry) Miller of Rockwell, Iowa, David (Linda) Miller of Austin, Steve Miller of Austin, and Brad Miller of Austin; aunts, Julie Sistrunk of Mankato, Diane Larocco of Tacoma, Washington, and Debbie Miller of Portland, Oregon; and by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceeded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Myrtle Miller; uncle, William Miller; and cousin, Chasen Degrote.

A celebration of Dustin’s life will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
