The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team was without a couple of key players as it lost 49-27 to Fillmore Central (8-13 overall) on the road Thursday.
LP (8-11 overall) played the game without Brady Lester, who was injured, and Patrick Murphy, who had an illness. The Athletics led 12-11 early, but the Falcons closed the first half on a 18-2 run.
“Our leading scorer and our sixth man did not play tonight and that hurts,” LP head coach Scott Koenigs said. “We’ve got kids that can come in and help, but they’re young.”
LP 14 13 — 27
FC 29 20 — 49
LP scoring: Kamis Kuku, 12; Jed Nelson, 4; Zach Bollingberg, 3; Trinity Anderson, 3; Bailey Rosas, 3; Cole Walter, 1; Bryce Strouf, 1; free throws: 44 percent (8-for-18)
