The Austin High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee is accepting nominations for the class of 2018.

To be eligible, athletes must have graduated from AHS at least 15 years ago. Other criteria the committee considers is whether the athlete has earned letters in one or more sports, won a championship in an individual sport, earned all-conference and/or all-state honors, earned a news media recognition award and led his or her team in statistical categories and/or set school records.

Coaching nominees must have coached at AHS for a minimum of ten years and have been retired from coaching for at least five years. The committee also accepts nomination of people other than athletes and coaches if they have made significant contributions promoting AHS sports. Nomination forms are available at the Activities Director’s Office at AHS or at austin.k12.mn.us. Nominations must be submitted before October1, 2017 to be considered for induction in 2018.
