The Hayfield girls basketball beat Stewartville (4-10 overall) 70-52 in Hayfield Friday.

Maggie Streightiff had 19 points for the Vikings (13-2 overall).

“It was a nice win,” Hayfield scoring Kasey Krekling said. “Stewartville’s been playing really well lately. We ramped up the defensive intensity in the second half.”

The Vikings will play at Kasson-Mantorville in an HVL showdown Tuesday night.
