Boys basketball: Athletics get past LeRoy-Ostrander

The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team beat LeRoy-Ostrander 62-50 in Lyle Tuesday.

Joseph Maas hit a three-pointer right before the half-time buzzer to give LP a 27-23 at the break and Kamis Kuku had 10 points, nine rebounds, five assist and four steals for the Athletics (6-7 overall, 4-6 SEC).

“Kamis does a lot of things for us and he’s made some huge strides since last year,” LP head coach Scott Koenigs said. “They were scrappy. Give LeRoy credit. They came out in a press and they gave us some problems.”

Trey Hungerholt had 17 points for the Cardinals (3-10 overall, 1-8 SEC).
