The Austin girls hockey team put on some late pressure, but it lost 4-3 at Mankato East (9-5-1 overall, 7-3 Big Nine) Thursday.

The Packers (4-13 overall, 3-9 Big Nine) pulled within a goal when Claire Olson scored with 1:51 left in the game, but they weren’t able to find the equalizer.

Jordyn McCormack and Lily Holtz each scored a goal for Austin. McCormack and Myia Hoium each had an assist.

Faith Sayles had 30 saves for the Austin, which had 23 shots on goal.
