A snowmobile and trailer were taken from a rural Austin residence sometime between 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, according to Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi.

The sled and trailer were taken from the Jeffery Yocum residence, at 55046 17th St., south of Austin. Value of the two items is $1,800.

Taken was a 1997 Polaris Indy Sport Touring snowmobile that was sitting on a homemade metal trailer. The sled is pink and plum in color, and has pink skis. There is also a crack in the hood.
