Shirley Fay Montgomery, 91, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Dec. 2, 2016.

She was born March 22, 1925, to Adolph and Gladys Paegel and was raised in Mankato, Minnesota.

She lived in Austin for 60 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1216 in Austin.

She is survived by her children: Linda of Hayward, Minnesota, Jerome Wing and Lorrie Lang of Austin, Mark Montgomery and Connie Nessett of Missouri, and Rodger Montgomery of Austin.

She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

The family is very grateful and thankful for the care she received from her two granddaughters, Cindy Kilby and Vanessa Davis.
