Robert (Bob) John Barrett, 57, of Austin, Minnesota, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at his home.

Robert was born on Dec. 6, 1959, to John and Marjorie (Grimm) Barrett in Osage, Iowa.

On June 4, 1983, Robert married Cheryl Abben and had two children, Allison and Amanda. They later divorced. In December 1992, he married Orene Berge and had two children, Megan and Jonathan and they later divorced. Robert then met his longtime partner, Patricia Briones, and welcomed a daughter, Kaylee.

Robert enjoyed fishing and working on cars.  He was very proud to be a grandpa and loved all his grandkids.

Robert is survived by his long time partner Patricia Briones; daughters, Allison Barrett, Amanda Barrett, Megan (Brent) Foster and Kaylee May; son, Jonathan (Haley) Kraus; his grandchildren, Isiah, Preston, Ava, Mikalya, Constance, Kyvrik, Kaydn and Adelynn; his mother, Marge Olson; sisters, Donna (Gary) Harig and Karla (Chris) Eaton; brothers, Bruce (Elaine) Barrett and James Barrett; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Barrett; step-father, Carl “Ole” Olson; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Robert will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date in Osage, next to his father.
