Lyle-Pacelli girls basketball team turns up the heat in second half to beat Blossoms

The Lyle-Pacelli girls basketball team used a big second half push to beat Blooming Prairie 67-34 in BP Thursday.

Olivia Christianson had a career-high 15 points to lead the Athletics (5-0 overall), who outscored BP 35-12 in the second half.

“Their kids played harder than us and more focused than us in the first half.” LP head coach Justin Morris said. “I was really proud with how we executed in the second half and we clamped down defensively.”

Marissa Larson had 16 points and 12 rebounds in the loss for BP (3-3 overall).

“Turnovers hurt us all game and gave LP way too many extra possessions,” BP head coach John Bruns said.
