The Blooming Prairie girls basketball team beat Southland (2-4 overall) 53-45 in Adams Tuesday.

Marissa Larson had 28 points and eight rebounds and Sam Wurst had 11 points and nine rebounds for BP (4-3 overall).

The game was tied up at 39-39 when BP used a 5-0 spurt that was sparked by a McKenna Hein hoop on an assist from larson.
