Mary Lynne (Fraser) Arens, 67, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on Nov. 3, 2016, at her home.

Mary was born May 18, 1949, in Austin to Kenneth and Marian (Laufle) Fraser. She graduated from Pacelli High School in 1967. On Jan. 20, 1968, Mary was united in marriage to her best friend, Terry Arens. They raised three wonderful children together.

Mary discovered her passion and fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a garden center. It showcased her love of flowers, family, laughter, and friendship.

Mary approached every adventure with childlike wonder, excitement, and enthusiasm. Whether it be creating magical holidays or singing karaoke together, her family was her universe.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Arens, Austin; daughter, Julie Arens (Brian Anderson), Adams, Minnesota; son, Daniel (Tammy) Arens, Faribault, Minnesota; daughter, Sarah Arens (B. Zamora), Albert Lea, Minnesota; sister, Jean Fraser, Austin; and five grandchildren, Nick and Amanda Arens, and Arielle, Lukas and Joshua Anderson.

Mary has been reunited with her parents, Kenneth and Marian; eldest sister, Joan (Fraser) Hagelund; brothers, Gary and Richard Fraser; nephew, Gary Blanchfield.

A Celebration of Life for Mary will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 pm. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Mayer Funeral Home. There will be a CCW rosary at 1 pm.
