Lucille M. Schreiber, 95

Lucille M. Schreiber, 95 of Austin, Minnesota, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Sacred Heart Care Center.

Lucille was born Feb. 14, 1921, in Udolpho Township, Minnesota, to William and Hattie (Goetz) Schulz. She attended Trinity Parochial School. On Sept. 14, 1946, Lucille married Lawrence Schreiber at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waltham, Minnesota.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the VFW and the Sweet Adeline Society Harmony Singers in Austin.

Lucille enjoyed gardening and knitting. She was a wonderful storyteller and loved writing skits for her church. After Lawrence retired, they enjoyed traveling together. She was a loving wife and mother and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her later years. She was an excellent cook and truly enjoyed entertaining friends and family and truly lived life to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hattie Schulz; husband, Lawrence; infant twin son, Dayle; brother, Harlan and his wife, Alice Schulz; and sister-in-law, Jan Schulz.

Lucille is survived by her sons, Larry (Mary) Schreiber, Austin, Gaylen Schreiber, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Daryl Schreiber, Austin; daughter, Lynnae (Brian) Shaw, Austin; two grandchildren, Brendan (Julie) Shaw and Justin (Melissa) Shaw; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Schulz, Austin; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, at Grace Lutheran Church with the Reverend Jeffrey Forbes officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the service on Friday.
