Elizabeth A. Touchton, 29

Elizabeth A. Touchton, 29, of Austin, Minnesota, formerly of Lyle, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin following a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

Elizabeth Anne was born March 12, 1987, in Austin to James and Anne (Mattick) Lynch. She grew up in Lyle, Minnesota, and graduated from Lyle High School. In 2007, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Joshua Touchton and to this union are two wonderful children, Christopher James, 10, and Allie Mae, 6. They later divorced.

Elizabeth loved her job and all her co-workers at the Mower County Shopper. It was difficult when her failing health didn’t allow her to continue doing the job she enjoyed so much. Elizabeth had a passion for motorcycles and in her younger days she owned her favorite, a Harley. She wanted one last motorcycle ride before she passed away. Even though she was very sick and the weather was cold, her friend Brandon made it happen. Elizabeth had a special relationship with her only brother, Eddie. Together they enjoyed fishing and just hanging out. Her best friend Kristina always made her feel special and loved. Kristina’s simple calls to say “Love you” meant everything to Elizabeth. The last few years her focus was on her children and trying to beat cancer. Elizabeth and the kids loved fishing, biking, camping and coloring together.
