The league will begin on Monday, Nov. 14, and run 17 weeks. The fee is $170 per person. Please sign up at our office. Team forms will be available at Packer on the Nov. 7 as well.

Club volleyball

Deadline to register for Austin Volleyball Club is Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, with fees to include the North Country Region registration, uniform shirt, administration fee and five tournaments. The 12U fee is $230, 14U is $265 and 16U/18U is $270.

The registration packet can be picked up at our office or found on our website at www.ci.austin.mn.us, you will have to print it off to fill it in. Please return the forms along with the fee to our office.

Austin Volleyball Club is a traveling league for girls 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U. Practice will start on Jan. 9, Monday and Thursday at Ellis Middle School, times TBD. Email Jake Solberg at jakes@ci.austin.mn.us or phone 507-433-1881.

Winter Roll volleyball team registration deadline is Friday, Dec. 9. Women’ s teams will play on Wednesday evenings and co-rec on Fridays at Ellis Middle School beginning Jan.4 and six consecutively. Team entry fee is $185 plus an $8 per player fee.

Youth wrestling

Austin Youth Wrestling sign up has begun.

Practice will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Austin High wrestling room beginning Nov. 28 and running through March 8. Pre-K to second grade will meet from 6 to 6:45 p.m. with a cost of $30. Third through sixth grade will meet 7 to 8 p.m. with a cost of $50. Your third family child is free.

Boys volleyball

A reminder that boys in grades fourth to 12th grade can learn the game of volleyball from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sundays through Dec. 18 in Hastings Gym located in Austin High School.

Pickleball

On Wednesday nights through Nov. 30 we will offer open gym from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Ellis Middle School for Pickleball.

We will use the auxiliary gym located down the short hall next to the women’ s locker room. Enter the school through the East gym doors.

The cost is $2 per time, per person and you can pay at the gym.

Packer Arena

Packer arena schedule: Public skate will move to Packer Arena: 1:45 to 3 p.m. Nov. 6 and 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 20; 6:45 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 25; 4:45 to 6 p.m. Nov. 12; 6:45 to 8 p.m. Nov. 23.

Cost is $4 to skate plus $1 if you need to rent skates. Purchase a family membership for $70 (two people) and add other family members for $5 each. Expires on March 3. Watch for the calendar or notifications on Facebook. Make sure to like us so you receive up-to-date information.

Riverside Arena

Adult open hockey: 6:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday’ s through Nov. 30. Cost is $6 per person each event. Must be 16, goalies are free. Yes, there will be adult open hockey the night before Thanksgiving.

Flag football

It is time to start putting your team together for Wednesday Night Flag Football in the dome.

Deadline for your team registration is Monday, Nov. 28. Games will begin on at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 7.

The team cost is $615 plus $8 per player on the team. You must have a minimum of seven players with a roster limit of 20. Contact our office for more information.

Austin Bruins

Austin Bruin are back home on Saturday, Nov. 12, when they host Coulee. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. at Riverside Arena.
