Bruins fall to Magicians in a shootout

For the third time in their last four games, the Austin Bruins had to play in overtime to decide an outcome as they lost 3-2 to the Minnesota Magicians in a shootout in Richfield Saturday.
The Magicians forced the extra period when Brendan Skarda scored to tie things up at 2-2 with 1:04 left in the third period. Travis Brown won the game for the Magicians when he scored on his team’s fourth attempt. Austin didn’t score on any of its four attempts in the shootout.
Jake Kucharski had 28 saves for the Bruins.
