Spartans sweep Packer volleyball team

The Austin volleyball team held the lead at times, but it wasn’t able to take a set as it lost 25-17, 25-19, 25-14 to Rochester Mayo (12-3 overall, 6-2 Big Nine) in Packer Gym Thursday.

Amber Hansen had five kills and four blocks for the Packers (3-16 overall, 0-7 Big Nine).
“We were competitive and we battled with them,” Austin head coach Cindy Owen said. “We played pretty scrappy tonight and we picked up the pace.”
