There was plenty of offense to go around as Blooming Prairie and Medford (1-5 overall) racked up a total of 990 yards of offense, but it was the Awesome Blossoms who came out on top with a 53-29 win on their homecoming in BP Friday.

BP (5-1 overall) finished with 550 yards of offense in the win and it jumped to a 27-0 lead. Max Romeo racked up 248 total yards of offense and two TDs for the Blossoms.

“Offensively we were able to do a lot of good things and get things working,” BP head coach Chad Gimbel said.

Medford had 398 passing yards on the night, but BP was able to off-set that a little by picking off three passes.

“We’d like our D to play better, but I’ve got to give their quarterback credit,” Gimbel said. “He threw the ball really well tonight and he got in a nice rhythm. Sometimes you’ve got to tip your hat to a kid playing well.”
