We read the letter to the Herald from Mr. Wagner (no relation) about the big tree that is scheduled to come down for bridge repair, so my neighbor girls and I walked a couple blocks to see the tree.

It is a beautiful, large tree. The older sister said “Don’t they know that trees make our oxygen?” and her younger sister said “Tell them they should make a bike path around the tree with a rail on one side.”

I really hope the persons that do the work on bridges will try very hard to save that beautiful tree.
