The Hayfield volleyball team prevailed with a 25-18, 25-15, 28-26 win over Triton (6-8 overall, 2-3 HVL) on the road Thursday.

Carrie Rutledge had 11 kills and 20 digs for the Vikings (9-2 overall, 7-1 HVL) and Kate Kruger had seven kills and seven blocks.

Hayfield trailed in the third set and battled back to win it.

“It was just a battle of wills at the end,” Hayfield head coach Jeremy Struck said.
