The Southland volleyball team picked up its first win of the season when it topped Chatfield (1-13 overall, 1-8 Three Rivers) 20-25, 25-22, 25-10, 23-25, 15-7 on the road Thursday.

Brianna Johnson racked up 21 kills in the win for the Rebels (1-10 overall, 1-6 Three Rivers).

“The girls remained focused in set five and they got one finally,” Southland head coach Eric Thorson said. “It was great.”
