The Hayfield football team lost 28-7 to Lewiston-Altura (2-0 overall) in Triton Friday.

The game was moved from Hayfield to Triton due to Hayfield’s field being in poor conditions due to rain.

The Cardinals led 7-0 at halftime, but Dusty Knutson had TD runs of 48 and 34 yards early in the third quarter to make it 21-0.

Hayfield (1-1 overall) pulled to within 21-7 when Lane Canny hauled in a 56 yard TD pass from Drew Olive.
