Peters Torkelson of GMLOS took first place at the 13-team Hayfield cross country invite Thursday.

Torkelson took first with a time of 17:11.6, Blooming Prairie’s Alec Ille took third and Pacelli’s Nathan Drees took seventh.

In the girls race, Pacelli’s Rory Bickler took fifth.
