A 51-year-old man was treated at the hospital after being shot with a BB gun Wednesday night.

According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin around 9:12 p.m. for a report of a man who’d been struck with a BB just above his left eyebrow while sitting on his porch on the 800 block of 12th Street Northeast.

The victim told police a car approached playing very loud music, which was turned down before he heard what sounded like a BB shot. He then felt something warm on his face and realized he was bleeding.

The victim told police he believed the car may have been a Silver Honda.

Police have no suspects at this time.
