The Austin volleyball team opened its season with a loss by scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-14 to Rochester Lourdes on the road Friday.

The Packers (0-1 overall) struggled with their hitting around the net in the loss.

“We have things to work on,” Austin head coach Cindy Owen said. “They’ve been working hard, but we need to get out of our comfort zone and start hitting the ball. We need to stop tipping the ball.”
