Local residents will get a sneak peak at an Austin author’s newest book.

Kayla Sturm will hold a book signing for her first book, “Heartless,” at the Coffee House on Main from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 13.

The book will officially be released on Sept. 6 and will be available for purchase at the book signing for $13.50 or on Barnes & Noble and Amazon sites in both paperback and e-book formats. There will also be a Q&A session Saturday.

Sturm lives in Austin with her husband and two young children. They own a small used-car dealership, rental properties, and a tax-preparation company. Writing remains her passion along with spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors.
