Alfred L. ‘Fred’ Royston, 60

Alfred L. “Fred” Royston, 60, of Austin, Minnesota, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center.

He was born Jan.25, 1956, in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, the son of Elwood and Shirley (Cressman) Royston. He grew up in Pennsylvania before moving to Minnesota, where he graduated from New Ulm High School in 1974. Fred held various jobs throughout his life, had lived in Austin for the past 20 years, and was a member of the Mormon faith. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, and spending time with his friends.

Alfred is survived by his son, Sky (Amber) Royston of Rochester, Minnesota; his daughter, Jennifer Royston of Fairmont, Minnesota; his fiancé, Tracy Wylie of Austin; his mother, Shirley Trumbauer of Green Lane, Pennsylvania; his brother, Mike Royston of Green Lane, Pennsylvania; his sister, Patricia Royston of Fairmont, Minnesota; four grandchildren: Zoe, Lane, Nadia and Zachary; and many wonderful friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his father Elwood Royston and his brother Terry Royston.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania. Interment will be in Friedens Union Cemetery, Sumneytown, Pennsylvania. No local services are being planned at this time.
