Fifteen youngsters showed off their patriotic pride during this year’s Little Miss Sparkler and Mr. Firecracker pageant at Bandshell Park Sunday afternoon.
Daniela Camarena, 8, won the title of Little Miss Sparkler.
“It’s exciting,” she said. “I liked seeing everyone do their talent.”
Lucas Schneider, 5, was named Mr. Firecracker. This was his first year in the pageant and felt “good” about his win.
The contestants, ages 5-8, talked about their hobbies with the crowd and performed a variety of talents, which included: dancing, counting in Japanese, singing and reading poetry.
The pageant was part of Family Day during Freedom Fest. Children also bounced on inflatables, enjoyed food trucks, and played games in the park.
