The Austin VFW Post #1216 traveled to Cannon Falls Saturday and picked up a pair of 6-0 wins to get a sweep.

Austin (8-2 District) won game one behind a strong pitching performance from Riley Wempner, who pitched six innings and scattered three hits while walking one batter and striking out four. Jack Dankert had three RBIs while Wempner drove in two.

In game two, Andrew Schumacher and Holden Londino-Green each connected for two hits and an RBI.

Ross Young got the win for Austin while Luke Hawkshead struck out five in three innings of work.
