A search warrant Thursday led to the arrest of three Austin residents after officers found a man and woman smoking heroin in a bedroom.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation at 11:45 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of First Street Southeast. Officers gained entry into the home and found Brianna Capretz, 22, and Miguel Hernandez-Miller, 23, smoking heroin in the bedroom.

The two were arrested and are awaiting formal charges, which Krueger said would likely be for felony fifth-degree drug possession.
