CHASKA — A Minnesota judge overseeing the legal proceedings about Prince’s estate has set a deadline for attorneys to weigh in on protocols for genetic testing.
In an order made public Tuesday, Carver County District Judge Kevin Eide says attorneys have until July 8 to submit written positions on the DNA testing protocols and the interplay between the probate code and parentage law.
Prince died in April of an accidental drug overdose, with no known will or children.
A sister and five half-siblings are in line to inherit his estate, estimated at $300 million or more. Several others have come forward claiming a tie to Prince.
