“Warm up for me wasn’t so good, but once I hit that it started to come naturally,” Wade said. “I finished the game off pretty strong and I think that helped our team a lot.”

Angel Duenes scored a pair of goals for Austin (8-0-1 overall) to make it 4-0 and Eduardo Marlin put the cap on the win when he connected on a direct kick.

Chris Kirchgatter had five saves in the win for Austin, which had 12 shots on goal.

Austin will close out its regular season on the road Wednesday and it’s hoping it can finish off the year without a loss.

“It’s been in the back of our minds all season,” said Josh Snee, a defenseman. “It’s just businesses every day. We have to keep passing and playing hard and hopefully the ‘W’ will come. We just had to stay focused throughout the game and keep talking.”
