The No. 6 seeded Austin baseball team couldn’t pull of its fourth win of the season against No. 3 Albert Lea as the Packers had their season come to an end in an 8-3 loss in a Section 1AAA elimination game on the road Wednesday.

The Packers (8-12 overall) had beaten the Tigers (14-9 overall) twice in the regular season and once in the postseason.

“The errors were the story of the game,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said. “Playoff baseball does not allow for this many errors, and Albert Lea benefited from that tonight.”
