The Lyle-Pacelli softball team lost 11-7 to Triton (5-6 overall) in Todd Park Tuesday.

LP scored three runs in the seventh inning as Abby Bollingberg had a two-run single, but the Athletics couldn’t get much closer.

Miranda Arkels took the loss in the circle for LP (2-8 overall).

“Triton has a good team. They slap and hit the ball and make you make the plays,” LP head coach Jeff Yocom said. “Plus they are fairly quick. The girls kept battling the whole game, so I’m happy with them in that aspect. We can’t keep beating ourselves though on mistakes.”
