Cotillion Dance Club

The Austin Cotillion Dance Club, celebrating its 97th year, met May 4 for a delightful dinner and dance.

The dance music was provided by Reminisce with Steven Krob playing the saxophone and clarinet, Sue Harp playing the keyboard and Theresa Iverson playing the bass.

We enjoyed their big band sound as they led us into a variety of dances such as waltzes, Latin, two-step, polkas and smooth jazz. Reminisce has been pleasing audiences with their music for social events for four years and still going strong.

The Cotillion committees attends to details to organize the dinner and dances. The May committee is Mary Wolcott, LeRoy Koch, Audrey and Chuck Larson and Joyce and Bob Goetz (chairman) and Kathy Kester and Bill Buckley.

Our next and last dance of the season is June 14. This dance is open to anyone — singles or couples — who wish to experience a free evening of dancing to their favorite music played by the Austin Big Band. For more information call Rachel or Adam Stange at 507-475-0641.
