The Austin softball team lost 4-2 at No.7 Mankato East (9-3 overall) Friday.

The Packers (4-9 overall) allowed four unearned runs in the fourth inning. Austin sophomore Hannah Rasmussen had a solo homer and she pitched four scoreless innings in the loss.

“We had are our chances,” Austin head coach Al Eckmann said. “We took on the top team and we played with them.”
