Mayo Clinic Health System will be offering free sports qualifying physicals to area school athletes, grades sixth through 12th, on 4 to 6 p.m. June 1 in the Musculoskeletal Center, located on the lower level of the medical center, 1000 First Drive N.W., Austin.
These athletic screenings are provided by Mayo Clinic Health System physicians, nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants, and meet the requirements for participation in sports by the Minnesota State High School Leagues, but are not intended to replace an annual, comprehensive physical exam. Mayo Clinic Health System providers recommend an annual exam for children ages 11 and over.
Sports physical forms can be downloaded from the Minnesota State High School league website. For more information, please call the Austin High School Activities Office at 507-460-1825 or Ellis Middle School at 507-460-1500.
