The Austin Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is hosting a steak cookout fundraiser at the Ikes cabin at Todd Park at 5:30 p.m. on Wedensday.

Steak cookouts are the main fundraising events for the Izaak Walton League.

The menu includes a 10-ounce sirloin steak, baked potato, coleslaw, bun and fresh veggies.

The event is open to the public and tickets are $12 and are available at the door.

Proceeds from the May steak cookout will be used to provide scholarships to area youth to attend summer camps at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center near Lanesboro.

Eagle Bluff summer camps give students the opportunity to learn about nature and develop outdoor skills such as canoeing, fishing and camping. This is the 11th year Austin Chapter has provided scholarships to Eagle Bluff.

Austin Chapter 10 of the Izaak Walton League is a nonprofit conservation organization whose mission is to conserve, maintain, protect, and restore all soil, waters, wildlife, and other natural resources.
