One day after its worst loss of the season, the Packer baseball team picked up its biggest win of the season when it downed top ranked Mankato West (9-2 overall) 7-1 on the road Friday.

Austin (6-6 overall) had lost 16-3 to Rochester John Marshall in an error filled loss on Thursday, but the Packers had zero errors on Friday.

“We were aggressive at the plate and we had solid defense. I’ve got to give kudos to Dylan,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said. “He called such a great game and he kept their hitters off balanced. Dylan worked super hard to make sure that Garett gave us a chance.”
