“You’re going to want to get on your feet,” AACA Executive Director Jennie Knoebel said.

The concert is moving from Marcusen Park to the Paramount, in part to showcase Austin’s historic theater.

Last year’s show in the park was also canceled due to thunderstorms, but the bands performed inside at Dusty’s Lounge.

Knoebel said they’re working on ways to remove some seats near the from the front of the theater to offer people a chance to get up and move around.

Both acts will feature full bands with drums, guitars and horns.

Malamanya will start the show at 7 p.m. with their blend of traditional Cuban and Latin American rhythms. Austin’s The Peter Jacobs Trio will play on an outdoors stage during intermission.

Sonny Knight & The Lakers will close the show with its blended rock and R&B music often described as hard-soul.

“We really want it to be a party,” Knoebel said, adding it will be a Saturday night near the end of summer and they want people to have fun.
