The Lyle-Pacelli softball team showed some improvement, but it lost 6-4 at Mabel-Canton (5-2 overall, 2-0 SEC) Tuesday.

The Athletics (0-7 overall, 0-3 SEC) led 3-0 in the third, but MC scored three runs off of LP miscues in the fourth to go up 4-3. Miranda Arkels took the loss for LP, which had lost 22-9 to MC April 19.

“We played alot better, but had some key mistakes with girls on base,” LP head coach Jeff Yocom said. “We made it exciting, bases were loaded a couple times but they got out of the inning.”

Danielle Hinz reached base three times for LP and Abby Bollingberg, Samantha Hinz, Mia Bauer and Arkells all reached base twice.
