Ending on a high note – Bruins close season with win; team to start playoffs in Minot

The Austin Bruins edged out Aberdeen 4-3 to wrap up the regular season in Riverside Arena Saturday.

Jade Miller made the game-winning goal for the Bruins (29-27-4 overall) with just 49 seconds left in the contest and he also connected on a goal to put Austin up 3-2 in the second period.

Aberdeen (22-27-11 overall) was knocked out of the playoffs by one point after the loss.

Kristofer Carlson stopped 40 shots in the win for Austin.

The Bruins will begin their best of five NAHL Central Division first round series in Minot 7:35 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Austin is set to host games three and four at 7:05 p.m. on April 22 and April 23.
