The Blooming Prairie baseball team opened its regular season with a 7-4 loss at Medford (1-1 overall) Monday.

BP (0-1 overall), which played a lot of freshmen and sophomores, struggled with walks in the loss.

“All in all, I thought we did some good things. If we don’t walk all those guys, it’s a different ball game,” BP head coach Matt Kittelson said.
