Austin boys tennis team picks up its 2nd straight win

The Austin boys tennis team picked up its second straight win when it beat Red Wing 4-3 in Neveln Elementary Thursday.

The Packers (2-5 overall, 2-5 Big Nine) were able to win the match by taking three of the four singles matches. Todd Weaver won the No. 4 singles match in three sets by winning 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

“Nice win for the team today.  There were close matches all around,” Austin head coach Jeff Anderson said. “The match could have gone either way. Glad to see the guys work hard and bear down to get this win.”
