Business and education leaders gathered to honor and present awards to 10 outstanding Austin students at the 30th annual ACCESS Scholarship Awards Banquet on Feb. 29 at the Hormel Historic Home. About 60 people attended the event, hosted by the Austin Area Chamber’s Business Education Committee.
Students received cash scholarships, ranging from $200-$1,500 from the committee, after completing a three-step application process that began last fall.

This year’s 12th-grade ACCESS Scholarship winners included: Aleesha Anderson, $1,500; Baylee Garroway, $1,000; Jordon Cotter, $750; and Ashley Harrington, $750.
Eighth-grade scholarship winners were Katie Lillemon, $500; Shenali DeSilva, $375; Alexandra Jovaag, $250; Goamaar Paul, $250; Ellie Eyre, $200; and Ellie Guanella, $200.
