Philip Craig Eirikson, 63, of Austin, Minnesota, died Monday, March 7, 2016.

Philip was born in Austin, Minnesota, on March 2, 1953, to Sigmund and Vera (Hanson) Eirikson. He attended Austin High School and lived in Austin most of his life. In 1974, he voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a cement mason in the Local No. 633 for many years until his retirement. His passion was fishing, hunting and especially his grandchildren. He left behind many good friends and will be missed by his boys, Red and Stormy (horses).

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, step father, sister, and a nephew.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Eirikson, Austin, Minnesota; daughter and son-in-law, Tina (Brian) Quail, Austin, Minnesota; sons and daughters-in-law, Pete and Jenn Eirikson, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Benjamin and Jennifer Eirikson, Pierre, South Dakota; grandchildren, Keagan Eirikson, Cole Eirikson, Kinsey Eirikson, Barclay Eirikson, Lincoln Quail, Lila Quail, Christian Quail, and Madalin Quail; brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Judy Eirikson, Albion, Iowa; step-brothers, Bob Ingersoll, Austin, Minnesota, and Billy and Mary Ingersoll, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Rev. Shari Mason officiating. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Friday for one hour before the service.
