Pastor Paul Welke and his wife, Dawn, recently moved to Austin as Welke was called to serve as the new pastor at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.

Welke is a second career pastor having served in the U.S. Marines for seven years and then 15 years in the electronics industry.

He is a 1999 graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm and a 2003 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. His first call was to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Winona, where he served for 12 years.

He looks forward to serving the people of Beautiful Savior and Austin with the good news about Jesus Christ.
