Magicians top Bruins 4-2

The Austin Bruins lost 4-2 to the Minnesota Magicians (22-26-7 overall) on the road Thursday.

Austin (26-24-4 overall) pulled to within 3-2 when Evan Cholak scored a third period goal, but the Magicians put the game away with an empty net goal with 25 seconds left in the game.

The Bruins tied the game up at 1-1 when Jacob Paganelli scored an early first period goal, but the Magicians scored two straight goals to make it a 3-1 goal headed into the third period.

Kristofer Carlson had 24 saves for Austin.

Austin has six game remaining in the regular season and its next four contests are on the road.
