Donald L. Fuller, 86, of Austin, Minnesota, died peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on Aug. 5, 1929, to Virgil and Opal (Root) Fuller in Hammond, Indiana. Don grew up in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, area and attended schools there. Don joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 19. He was a career military man and served his country in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Don was a master sergeant and retired in 1978. On July 15, 1967, Donald married the love of his life, Mitsuko Nagase at the Hamilton Air Force Base in California. He was a member of the Methodist faith and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mitsuko Fuller of Austin, Minnesota; two sons, David (Shirley) Fuller who live in England and Kenneth Fuller of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a daughter, Deborah (Donald) Knels of Fairview, Montana; a sister, Joyce Middleton of Mesa, Arizona; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and many other wonderful relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Virginia and Lyda; and a son, Wayne.
